Belize Rules

We are going to Belize with a servant mindset. You will be outside your comfort zone. You will be asked to do things you're not used to, and wear clothes that you don't normally wear. We ask that from the time we meet at the airport to the time we arrive back in Seattle, you keep your heart and mind open to these new and different things. We ask you to have a good attitude and stay positive. These are things we want to see on this trip:

Pay attention to the dress code when packing. If you don't pack accordingly and find yourself in Belize without appropriate clothing, you'll be provided appropriate clothing, that will likely be less preferable than what you could have brought yourself. If you are in violation, you'll be pulled aside by a leader of your same gender.

Do not argue with dress code instruction from leaders. Do not compare application of dress code with other students. It's the leader's job to exercise discretion.

We will be in a relatively safe area of Belize. But that doesn't mean things can't happen. Students must always be in groups. Whether making a run to the store, or inviting people to church around the neighborhood, there is no situation outside of the bathroom where a student is allowed to be alone.

Students (even in groups) may not leave the general team areas, church, work site, etc. without permission and knowledge of an adult leader. Leaders must know at all times where students are.

Substance use provides you an immediate (0 strikes) 1-way ticket home at your parent's expense. Substances include any Alcohol, Tobacco, Nicotine, Marijuana products, as well as any illegal drug, or non-prescribed drug. This includes vapes of any kind. Zero strikes.

Physical altercations between students may result in immediate 1-way ticket home at parent's expense. We expect differences to be worked out in a Christ-like manner.

No weapons are allowed with personal belongings. Yes we will be using saws and such on worksites. but no personal weapons are allowed.
